Recap: Eastlake Falcons vs. Socorro Bulldogs

There's no place like home for the Eastlake Falcons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against Socorro by a score of 43-31 on Wednesday. For Eastlake, this counts as revenge for the 47-38 loss Socorro walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Giselle Medrano and Nataly Dominguez certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Medrano scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds, while Dominguez scored 8 points. Dominguez scored a full 25.8% of Socorro's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Eastlake's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Socorro, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Eastlake will head out on the road to face off against Montwood at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Montwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Wednesday. As for Socorro, they will be playing at home against Pebble Hills at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Pebble Hills presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Socorro in Texas (Pebble Hills is ranked 105th, while Socorro is ranked 863rd).
