After a string of five wins, Mt. Edgecumbe's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 41-40 to the Ketchikan Kings. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Kings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Mt. Edgecumbe's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Ketchikan, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-15 record.

While Mt. Edgecumbe had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.
