Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sauk Rapids-Rice walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Annandale Cardinals 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Storm, who have now won seven matches in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Sauk Rapids-Rice who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-13, 21-25, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13.

Josie Anderson paced Sauk Rapids-Rice's offense, picking up 17 kills. Anderson got some help from Aubrey Marketon and her 29 assists. Stella Lambaere controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Sauk Rapids-Rice's win bumped their record up to 25-2. As for Annandale, their defeat ended a nine-match streak of away wins and brought them to 21-7.

As of now, neither Sauk Rapids-Rice nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
