Volleyball Game Preview: Gretna East Griffins vs. Bennington Badgers

Gretna East hasn't had much luck against Bennington recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Griffins will challenge the Badgers at 6:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Gretna East didn't have quite enough to beat Elkhorn and fell 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Gretna East sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 21-25, 25-17.

Bennington not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Elkhorn. The win continues a trend for the Badgers in their matchups with the Antlers: they've now won six in a row.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-14, 25-17.

Gretna East's defeat dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Bennington, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 14-9.
