Recap: Rosewood Eagles vs. East Duplin Panthers
On Tuesday, Rosewood didn't have too much trouble with East Duplin on the road as they won 55-40. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rosewood.
Rosewood was led to victory by David Lamm and Julius Coltrane. Lamm scored 17 points along with 4 steals, while Coltrane scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Coltrane has scored at least 25% of Rosewood's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Cox, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds.
Despite the loss, East Duplin saw an underclassman step up: Zachary Ball scored 10 points. Sedrick Lawson was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Rosewood now has a winning record of 2-1. As for East Duplin, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Rosewood will be playing in front of their home fans against Southside at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Southside is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for East Duplin, they will head out on the road to face off against Richlands at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
