Basketball Game Preview: Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes vs. Calumet Copper Kings

Lake Linden-Hubbell is 1-8 against Calumet since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes will square off against the Calumet Copper Kings at 5:45 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Monday, Lake Linden-Hubbell made easy work of Dollar Bay and carried off a 57-37 victory. The Lakes haven't had any issues with the Bays recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Calumet). They blew past Jeffers 59-30 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Copper Kings, who have now won five contests in a row.

Calumet's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Lake Linden-Hubbell, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.

Lake Linden-Hubbell beat Calumet 58-50 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Linden-Hubbell since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
