Basketball Recap: Harrells Christian Academy Falls Short of the Burlington School in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Harrells Christian Academy can now relate to. They took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Burlington School Spartans. The contest marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Harrells Christian Academy lost on Tuesday, don't look at Antonio Mckoy. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards. Mckoy's evening made it 20 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Zicareian Mcneil was another key player, putting up 12 points and six rebounds.

The Burlington School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden Hammond, who went 5-for-9 en route to 13 points and seven boards. Hammond is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 54% in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Asante Phillip, who posted ten points.

Harrells Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 30-3. As for The Burlington School, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season.
