Basketball Game Preview: Andrews Mustangs vs. Greenwood Rangers

The Andrews Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Greenwood Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Andrews will be strutting in after a win while Greenwood will be coming in after a defeat.

Andrews took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Monahans as Andrews made off with a 63-43 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Greenwood came up short against Fort Stockton on Friday and fell 50-39.

Greenwood's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-14. As for Andrews, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 14-11.

Andrews lost to Greenwood on the road by a decisive 79-63 margin when the teams last played back in January of 2024.
