Basketball Recap: Elmwood Park Beats Hawthorne Christian for Their Fourth Straight Win

Elmwood Park came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Hawthorne Christian Defenders with a sharp 60-35 win. This was payback for the Crusaders, who suffered a 50-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Elmwood Park's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Hawthorne Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Elmwood Park will take on Manchester Regional on February 27th. Elmwood Park knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Manchester Regional likes a good challenge.
