Softball Recap: Rosebud-Lott Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Rosebud-Lott and Bremond, and Bremond kept the tradition alive. The Rosebud-Lott Cougars came up short against the Bremond Tigers on Tuesday, falling 12-3. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 16-3 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rosebud-Lott saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayana Green, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Brooke Skala also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Rosebud-Lott's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Bremond, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Rosebud-Lott will square off against Chilton at 5:30 p.m. on March 18th. Rosebud-Lott is facing Chilton at the right time seeing as Chilton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bremond, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Bremond Tigers take on Granger Lions at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th. One thing working in their favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
