Recap: Desert Pines Jaguars vs. Corona del Sol Aztecs
The Desert Pines Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 35 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Corona del Sol 68-25 on the road. Desert Pines' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Desert Pines to victory, but perhaps none more so than Siara Bracey , who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Trinity Tyrell, who scored eight points along with six steals.
Desert Pines' victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Corona del Sol, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Desert Pines won't have much time to rest: their next match is against St. Mary's at 5:30 p.m. on December 21st. Corona del Sol and Westminster will face off at 4:00 p.m. on December 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
