Basketball Recap: Antioch Takes a Loss

After flying high against Grant Community last Friday, Antioch came back down to earth. The Antioch Sequoits were outmatched by the Grayslake Central Rams and fell 60-22. The matchup marked the Sequoits' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Addison Webb and Scarlett Carroll certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Webb posted seven points, while Carroll put up seven points.

Antioch's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Grayslake Central, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.

Antioch and Grayslake Central could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Antioch (ranked 440th) will meet Loyola Academy (ranked 40th) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Grayslake Central (ranked 175th) will meet Glenbard West (ranked 29th) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
