Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Norco). They came out on top against the Paloma Valley Wildcats by a score of 10-6 on Saturday. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 9-0 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Trent Schlim looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryan Farias, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Daniel Luther also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Norco pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Paloma Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Norco has already played their next contest, a 15-3 victory against Centennial on the 7th. As for Paloma Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-1 win against Poly on the 8th.
