Basketball Recap: Memphis Home Education Association Takes a Loss

Memphis Home Education Association was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Munford Cougars. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Memphis Home Education Association came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Munford is ranked 128th).

JaDyn Lee continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Munford, going 9 of 15 to rack up 25 points along with seven boards and five assists. The game was Lee's third in a row with at least 19 points. Dean Millican was another key player, going 5 for 7 en route to 11 points and eight rebounds.

Memphis Home Education Association's loss dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Munford, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Memphis Home Education Association will head out to square off against Memphis University School at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Munford, they will challenge Raleigh-Egypt at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Raleigh-Egypt has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with four straight defeats, while Munford will come in with three straight victories.
