Last Thursday, Northwood ended up a good deal behind Chilhowie and lost 49-34. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Rural Retreat had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 48-40 victory over Rye Cove last Friday.

Northwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Rural Retreat, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10.
