Gosnell extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 11-5 in the process. They blew past the Pocahontas Redskins 8-1. Considering the Pirates have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Avery McHan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Cheyanna Trapp was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

As for Pocahontas, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Pocahontas' side, Jayna Lindquist made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Gosnell will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Redskins: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
