Basketball Game Preview: The Webb Schools Gauls vs. Southlands Christian Eagles

The Webb Schools Gauls will take on the Southlands Christian Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Webb Schools has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

The Webb Schools is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 98-60 victory over First Baptist. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 62-28.

Meanwhile, Southlands Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against Capistrano Valley Christian, falling 99-27. While losing is never fun, Southlands Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1259th, while Capistrano Valley Christian is ranked 186th).

Southlands Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for The Webb Schools, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

The Webb Schools beat Southlands Christian 79-68 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will The Webb Schools repeat their success, or does Southlands Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
