Basketball Recap: Rock Creek Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Crothersville last Saturday, Rock Creek Academy came back down to earth. The Rock Creek Academy Lions lost to the Corydon Central Panthers at home by a 72-55 margin on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Panthers are ranked 89th).

It was another big night for T-Mac Wilkinson, who went 6-for-9 en route to 14 points and eight rebounds for Corydon Central. Wilkinson is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games he's played. Jack Fessel was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Rock Creek Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Corydon Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.

Coincidentally, Rock Creek Academy and Corydon Central will both be playing Eastern the next time they take the court. Corydon Central will host Eastern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Rock Creek Academy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
