Baseball Recap: Savannah Comes Up Short

Savannah was the 2-1 winner over Chillicothe when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Savages took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets on Monday.

Savannah's loss dropped their record down to 19-11. As for Chillicothe, they moved to 18-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, Savannah and Chillicothe will both be playing Lafayette the next time they take the field. The Savages will head out to face the Fighting Irish at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hornets will host them at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
