Volleyball Recap: Newcomers Comes Up Short

Newcomers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Bowne Wildcats.

Newcomers' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bowne, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Newcomers and Bowne will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Lions see the court they'll take on Long Island City at 5:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Bowne, their break will end when they face Flushing at 4:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
