Football Recap: Andrew Dunlap's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Athens over Farmington + How To Watch

Athens lost against Farmington back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Hawks came up short against the Falcons, falling 38-14. The Red Hawks were down 38-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Athens lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Andrew Dunlap, who rushed for 46 yards and one TD, and also threw for 146 yards and one touchdown. Athens' leading receiver Nathan Piggott was Dunlap's top target yet again, picking up 88 receiving yards and one score.

This is the second loss in a row for Athens and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Farmington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
