Recap: Hockinson Hawks vs. R.A. Long Lumberjacks
The Hockinson Hawks lost to the R.A. Long Lumberjacks back in January, but the Hockinson Hawks didn't allow the R.A. Long Lumberjacks the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Hockinson took their game at home with ease, bagging a 63-26 victory over R.A. Long. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hockinson.
Siena Brown was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 30 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Hockinson's points. Olivia Cochenour was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 10 steals and 5 rebounds.
Hockinson's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for R.A. Long, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hockinson will square off against Hudson's Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. R.A. Long will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
