Recap: McClain Tigers vs. Hillsboro Indians
The McClain Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Hillsboro by a score of 44-42. McClain lost against Hillsboro in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 38-35 score last time.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hillsboro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tylee Davis, who scored 13 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Davis is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kobie Miles was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
McClain now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Hillsboro, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6.
McClain will finish 2023 at home by hosting Fairfield at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Hillsboro will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Adena at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
