Basketball Recap: Rickards Drops Highest Score of Season Against Leon + How To Watch

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Rickards ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 68-61 victory over the Leon Lions. The Raiders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Rickards' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Calvin Thomas led the charge by putting up 25 points. Thomas' evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Tarek Caesor, who posted 18 points.

Despite the loss, Leon still got an impressive performance from Elijah Knight, who went 8-for-14 on his way to 20 points and four steals. Knight is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 18 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamari Thomas, who shot 67% from the field en route to 14 points.

Rickards now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Leon, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

Looking ahead, Rickards will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Leon, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Dougherty at 4:00 p.m.
