Basketball Recap: Lebanon Trail Comes Up Short

Lebanon Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost 47-27 to the Emerson Mavericks. While losing is never fun, the Trail Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 927th, while the Mavericks are ranked 434th).

Lebanon Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Emerson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-13.

Lebanon Trail will head out on the road to challenge Centennial at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Emerson, they will challenge Memorial at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Emerson is on a four-game streak of home wins, Memorial a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
