Basketball Recap: Chatham Central Has No Trouble Against Jordan-Matthews

Chatham Central won the last time they faced Jordan-Matthews and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went the Chatham Central Bears' way against the Jordan-Matthews Jets as the Chatham Central Bears made off with a 52-31 win. The 52-point effort marked the Bears' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Chatham Central had a senior duo take command as Reid Albright dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards and Brennen Oldham dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Oldham. Another player making a difference was Luke Gaines, who posted four points and four steals.

Chatham Central's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Jordan-Matthews, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chatham Central will head out to take on Bartlett Yancey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jordan-Matthews, they will venture away from home to face off against Northwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
