Volleyball Game Preview: Virgin Valley Bulldogs vs. Moapa Valley Pirates

The Virgin Valley Bulldogs will face off against the Moapa Valley Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Virgin Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Desert Pines 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Virgin Valley took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-12, 25-6.

Meanwhile, Moapa Valley beat Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas 3-1 on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 15-25, 25-19.

Virgin Valley better keep an eye on Spencer Stolworthy. He was instrumental in Moapa Valley's win, getting 31 assists and 16 digs. Those 16 digs gave Stolworthy a new career-high.

The win got Moapa Valley back to even at 10-10. As for Virgin Valley, they pushed their record up to 26-9 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
