Recap: Lincoln Leopards vs. Rawlins County Buffaloes
The Lincoln Leopards pushed their score all the way to 32 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 36-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rawlins County. Lincoln has struggled against Rawlins County recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Ryan Sramek was on fire for Rawlins County: he rushed for 311 yards and two touchdowns. Sramek is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last eight games he's played.
Rawlins County's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was Braxton Dixson and his two sacks.
Lincoln's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-4. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Rawlins County, Ell-Saline, and Clifton-Clyde. As for Rawlins County, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rawlins County will square off against Trego at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Trego is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
