Soccer Recap: Greater Cabarrus S Takes a Loss

After flying high against Kingdom Leadership Academy last Tuesday, Greater Cabarrus S came back down to earth. The Stallions came up short against the Davidson Day Patriots on Monday, falling 8-2. While losing is never fun, Greater Cabarrus S can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 394th, while Davidson Day are ranked 47th).

Greater Cabarrus S' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Davidson Day, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greater Cabarrus S will venture away from home to take on Forsyth Home Educators at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Davidson Day, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Asheville at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th.
