Softball Recap: Madison's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Madison was feeling good fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Batesville two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cubs fell just short of the Seymour Owls by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The loss put an end to the Cubs' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Madison fell to 2-1. As for Seymour, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-1.

Coming up, Madison will welcome Silver Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Cubs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Seymour, they will challenge Columbus North at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
