Volleyball Game Preview: Lincoln Charter Eagles vs. Hough Huskies

The Lincoln Charter Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Hough Huskies at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Charter is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Lincoln Charter barely beat Mountain Island Charter the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Lincoln Charter put the hurt on Mountain Island Charter with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-10, 25-12.

Among those leading the charge was Eli Withers, who had eight digs and three aces.

Withers wasn't the only good server: Lincoln Charter was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Hough didn't have quite enough to beat West Forsyth on Saturday and fell 2-1. The game marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Hough started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 15-11.

Lincoln Charter pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hough, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Lincoln Charter suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Hough when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can Lincoln Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
