Softball Recap: Westminster Academy Takes a Loss

If Westminster Academy was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Cardinal Newman on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell just short of the Stoneman Douglas Eagles by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Westminster Academy now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Stoneman Douglas, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westminster Academy will head out to challenge West Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stoneman Douglas, they will square off against Chaminade-Madonna at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
