Recap: Colleton County Cougars vs. Hanahan Hawks
The Colleton County Cougars were the 52-37 winner over the Hanahan Hawks when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Colleton County opened the new year with a less-than-successful 45-40 loss to they on Friday. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly five points.
Hanahan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Camdyn Lawson out in front who scored 13 points along with three steals. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was N'khia Hagood, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Colleton County are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11. As for Hanahan, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Colleton County will head out on the road to face off against Hilton Head Island at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hilton Head Island is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Hanahan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Charleston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Charleston is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
