Softball Recap: Boron Comes Up Short

After soaring to 16 runs the game before, Boron was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 13-1 to the Kern Valley Broncs. The matchup marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Boron saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Channing Boyett, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Boron's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Kern Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Boron will host Mammoth at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.25 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Kern Valley, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Desert at 3:15 p.m. on April 7.
