Football Game Preview: Owen County Rebels vs. St. Henry Crusaders

The Owen County Rebels will head out to challenge the St. Henry Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Owen County has given up an average of 27 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Owen County is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 39 points on September 13th, they were much more limited against Beechwood on Friday. They took a blow against the Tigers, falling 68-6. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Tigers are ranked 28th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Henry, who bounced back after a loss on the road on September 12th. They walked away with a 21-12 win over Gallatin County on Friday. The Crusaders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to St. Henry's defense and their six sacks. In that department, William Miller was the leader with two. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 14.

St. Henry's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Owen County, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
