Basketball Game Preview: North Valleys Panthers vs. Truckee Wolverines

North Valleys and Truckee are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The North Valleys Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Truckee Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Valleys has 15 straight wins, Truckee has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

North Valleys is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing South Tahoe: they outscored them in every quarter. North Valleys enjoyed a cozy 59-43 victory over South Tahoe on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Truckee came up short against Sparks on Wednesday and fell 28-16.

North Valleys pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Truckee, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Everything came up roses for North Valleys against Truckee in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as the squad secured a 54-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Valleys since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
