Softball Recap: Agoura Chargers vs. Calabasas Coyotes
Agoura put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Calabasas Coyotes as the Agoura Chargers made off with a 23-7 win. Agoura's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Parker Ong looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Agoura got a massive performance out of Amaya Del Olmo, who fired off two home runs, eight RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-4. Briona Ferdman was another key contributor, going 5-for-5 with six RBI, three runs, and a triple.
On Calabasas' side, Camryn Somoza made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Agoura has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Calabasas, they dropped their record down to 0-21 with that loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
