Basketball Game Preview: Dixie Greyhounds vs. Valley View Spartans

Dixie is 0-5 against Valley View since February of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Dixie Greyhounds will face off against the Valley View Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Dixie is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Tri-County North on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Dixie was dealt a 72-36 loss at the hands of Tri-County North. The Greyhounds were down 58-25 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Valley View ended up a good deal behind Oakwood on Thursday and lost 61-42. The Spartans have struggled against the Lumberjacks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Valley View's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Dixie, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Dixie was taken down by Valley View 77-33 in their previous matchup back in January of 2019. Can Dixie avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
