Softball Game Preview: Corinth Christian Academy Warriors vs. Northside Christian Academy

The Corinth Christian Academy Warriors will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Northside Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Corinth Christian Academy is headed out to face Northside Christian Academy after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Everything went Corinth Christian Academy's way against Hope Christian Academy last Monday as Corinth Christian Academy made off with an 18-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won seven in a row.

Hilary Montesino made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Montesino was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Corinth Christian Academy let Rielynn Hudson and Jaden Tolle run wild. Hudson scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Tolle went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Hudson has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamielyn Hudson, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Northside Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road two weeks ago, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over Riverside Christian.

Corinth Christian Academy couldn't quite get it done against Northside Christian Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-3. Can Corinth Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
