Softball Recap: Cypress Park Tigers vs. Cypress Woods Wildcats

Cypress Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 17-2 walloping at the hands of the Cypress Woods Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cypress Park of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Cypress Park saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eliza Covarruvias, who went 1-for-2 with a stolen base.

On Cypress Woods' side, Sophia Wilson was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with seven RBI, two runs, and a triple. Another player making a difference was Ashley Garcia, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

As for Cypress Woods, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cypress Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
