Soccer Game Preview: Ingleside vs. Calallen

Ingleside hasn't had much luck against Calallen recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs will head out to square off against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Calallen will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Ingleside extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over King. With Ingleside ahead 4-1 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Calallen kept a clean sheet against Jones on Friday. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 8-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Calallen in their matchups with Jones: they've now won seven in a row.

Ingleside's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Calallen, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1.

Ingleside couldn't quite get it done against Calallen in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
