Volleyball Recap: Deshler Takes a Loss

After flying high against Giltner on Friday, Deshler came back down to earth. The Dragons fell 3-1 to the Red Cloud Warriors on Tuesday. While the Dragons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 25-19 in the first set.

Deshler started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-14.

Jessie Kayser paced Deshler's offense, picking up 25 kills. Kayser got some help from Molley Drohman and her 24 assists. Drohman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Deshler's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Red Cloud, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6.

Deshler has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Thayer Central on the 25th. As for Red Cloud, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Blue Hill on the 25th.
