Volleyball Recap: Temecula Valley Comes Up Short

Temecula Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Golden Bears have suffered against the Nighthawks since March 15, 2022.

Temecula Valley was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Murrieta Valley work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-9, 26-24.

Temecula Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Murrieta Valley, with the win, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-18.

Temecula Valley and Murrieta Valley could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Golden Bears (ranked 574th) will meet Vista Murrieta (ranked 216th) at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Murrieta Valley will face off against Great Oak at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (506 vs. 80).
