Soccer Game Preview: Port Clinton vs. Edison

The Port Clinton Redskins will challenge the Edison Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Port Clinton will be strutting in after a victory while Edison will be coming in after a defeat.

Port Clinton headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Columbian let them put that streak behind them. The Redskins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Tornadoes on Monday. The victory continues a trend for Port Clinton in their matchups with Columbian: they've now won six in a row.

Port Clinton hit Columbian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from GABBIE HEILMANN (2), ADDISYN MOONEY, and AUDREY ROHRER.

Meanwhile, Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Perkins.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-2. As for Port Clinton, their win bumped their record up to 5-6-1.

Port Clinton beat Edison 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Redskins repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
