The matchup between Iroquois and Union City on Tuesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Braves took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears. On the bright side, the nine- run performance marked the Braves' highest-scoring game to date.

Anthony Theiss made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That hit marked the first that he got this season.

Iroquois dropped their record down to 0-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Union City, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Iroquois will challenge Cochranton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union City, they will be playing at home against Youngsville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of.
