After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Houston, Christian Brothers was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over the First Assembly Christian Crusaders. The Purple Wave haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Cade McKay was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. McKay was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other pitching news, Raul Sanchez looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Halton Donnelly, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Luke Gossett was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
