St. Monica Academy lost against Desert Christian on September 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Crusaders fell 3-1 to the Knights. The Crusaders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-20, 23-25, 25-16, 25-16.

Desert Christian had a senior duo take command as Danna Guardado had 12 digs and four aces and Sadie Guardado had 30 assists and five digs. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Danna.

St. Monica Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Desert Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Monica Academy will take on rival Santa Clarita Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Desert Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Palmdale Academy Charter School at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
