Max Smith gave up the fewest hits he has since back in February on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has become a key player for St. Edmund: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 10-12 otherwise.

Coming up, Smith and St. Edmund will host Port Barre at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fighting Blue Jays are 7-2 against the Red Devils going back to March of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
