Softball Game Preview: Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Lions vs. Belgreen Bulldogs

The Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Lions will challenge the Belgreen Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Lindsay Lane Christian Academy 3.3, Belgreen 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Lily Jackson made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Madi Tucker was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Leigha Carder was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.

Lindsay Lane Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Randolph School only posted an OBP of .263.

Meanwhile, Belgreen entered their tilt with Tharptown on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Wildcats. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lindsay Lane Christian Academy's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-5-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Belgreen, their win bumped their record up to 18-10.
