Highland came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Higley, but Britton Skousen wouldn't allow it. The Knights narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hawks 3-2 with plenty of help from Skousen, who had 23 digs and two aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 13 or more in each of the last five games he's played.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Higley got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 23-25, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13.

Higley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 18-3-2 record this season. As for Highland, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-8-1.

Higley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Mountain View on the 10th. As for Highland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Tucson High Magnet School on the 9th.
